ENDORSE Bobby Champion                                                                                                                                                                    I would be honored to have your support at the Endorsement convention.                                      Senate Convention:  Saturday, February 27, 2010 at North High School, 1500 James Avenue North. Registration begins at 9:30 am and the convention will start promptly at 10:00 am.

Dear Neighbor,

Despite an historic budget shortfall and a contentious session, the 2009 Legislature passed  important bills to:
• Create and preserve jobs
• Protect K-12 funding
• Maintain public safety
• Protect our natural resources
• Improve transportation
These are all significant accomplishments in this challenging economy.  Unfortunately, no final budget agreement was reached. Instead, the Governor chose authority to make unilateral cuts on top of the nearly $2 billion of cuts already enacted by the Legislature.

Those steep cuts will hurt students, the sick and disabled, the elderly, and others, and will most certainly lead to another round of property tax
increases.

My top prority as your representative is to promote legislation that directly benefits the citizens of North Minneapolis, the North Loop and Downtown, and that will make our our community a stronger, healthier and safer place to live, work and raise a family.

I urge you to continue contacting me with any question related to state government – your input helps me better represent you at the State Capitol.

Best Regards,
Bobby Champion
